i've been meaning to introduce myself...

Woman smiling and holding a drink against a textured white wall.

Hi, I’m Lexi.

For as long as I can remember, writing has been one of the ways I make sense of what God is teaching me. Years ago, that looked like a little corner of the internet called Lex and the Lord, where I shared Scripture and the lessons God was placing on my heart.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I don't always have a lesson.

Sometimes I'm still in the middle of it.

Still praying. Still questioning. Still waiting. Still learning what it looks like to trust God when I can't quite see what He's doing yet.

And I think there's something worth sharing there, too.

I’ve Been Meaning to Say is my place for those words—the ones that aren't perfectly wrapped up with a bow. Thoughts on faith, life, love, growing, waiting, and everything I'm learning along the way.

Outside of writing, you'll usually find me in my first-grade classroom, serving at my church, making some kind of coffee, spending time with the people I love, or probably thinking entirely too deeply about something I'll eventually write about here.

I don't have all the answers. I'm not writing from the other side of everything. I'm just learning to notice God in the middle of my actual life—and inviting you into some of it along the way.

I'm really glad you're here.
